I'm off to Haymarket, Virginia this afternoon. Paul's son, Zach, is graduating from high school and this is the celebratory weekend. My Aunt Carmen and Uncle Dick (Zach's grandparents) flew in from Las Vegas and their daughter, Michelle, and her husband Steve are coming from North Carolina.
I still get excited about spending time with my relatives. For so much of my adult life the only people I knew who I was directly related to were my children and my brother's children. It's still a novelty to me to look at someone from my dad's family and think "This is my family. We are related."
I will have just enough time when I get back to unpack and repack because next Wednesday I'm going to spend a couple of weeks with Nikki in Germany. As soon as I land we are going to Paris for 3 days! What fun!

Yay, have fun and drive safe! :)
I'm reminded of what someone said: most people lose family as they get older; you're one of the few who actually gain family.
Hugs to those relative-like people!
Why, that quote there is a snappy exchange between the good Doctor Franken-steen and his faithful Eye-gore!
Paris?! Awww, I wish I could go to Paris...
In any case, have fun with the relatives! And say Hi to Abby-normal for me!
Yah, but are you here yet? Have a great time. Hugs, Karen
Hi everyone, Connie, I am thrilled you are having such a great time but...Are you here yet? I've added a link to pictures from an old boyfriend's visit a few weeks ago. I think it will give you a snap shot of what you will see in Aug.
All my best, Karen

Karen,
What cool pics. I can't wait to get back there! See you in about 6 weeks!
what nut wouldn't bypass a big city and lay on the beach with a sexy guy, sip a cool drink, and find peace!!!!! I'm such a nut!!! I went to Paris 4 years ago and spent a fortune and needed a vacation after. To many rude people! That stuffy museum stuff is for the birds. I kinda like the here and now stuff. Get to the beach and relax for god's sake!!!
Take care crazy Girl
